150 years of a good night's sleep

Breakfast is included for all guests in the hotel, the farmhand suites and the storehouse suites. If you are staying in an apartment, breakfast can be ordered.

Gudrun and Mathea are two recently renovated suites in the yard, just a few steps from the main building. Private bedroom, living room and bathroom. Gudrun is adapted for people with reduced mobility. Perfect for those who want more space, or for a bridal party that needs a separate place to get ready.

The wooden building from 1932 has three floors with 31 rooms, no two of which are exactly alike. Some have balconies, some have bathtubs, some have a view of the Torch Man that was carved out in the woods for the 1994 Olympics. All have private bathrooms, good beds from Svane and modern comfort within the hotel's venerable walls. Room types range from standard double rooms to deluxe rooms and junior suites with gas fireplaces.

Two storehouses from before 1730 have been converted into four spectacular suites. The timber was originally felled in Numedal, and Johannes spent six years transforming them from a granary into what has now been named one of the world's most romantic hotels. All suites have a gas fireplace, underfloor heating, handmade bathtubs, wine cabinets with red, white, rosé and bubbly, and continental beds from Svane.

Breakfast at the hotel, some bubbly as a welcome, a minibar with local products and access to all hotel facilities. Three of the suites also have a private day bed with views of the valley.

In the two suites on the ground floor, the large, handmade bathtub is sunk into the floor. On the second floor, it stands free like a sculpture in the middle of the bathroom. All have the same high standard, but each has its own character.
