Bjerkebæk – Sigrid Undset
Like Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson’s home Aulestad, Sigrid Undset’s home Bjerkebæk is located about 30 minutes from Nermo Hotel.
Sigrid Undset’s home
Bjerkebæk in Lillehammer was Sigrid Undset’s home. She moved here in 1919 and wrote Kristin Lavransdatter in the house, which is now a museum. The estate has been carefully restored and offers a rare and intimate insight into the life of one of Norway’s most widely read authors.
Same ticket
The museum is part of the Lillehammer Museum Foundation, and a combined ticket with Maihaugen gives you a discount on entry.
