Skibladner
Norway’s oldest steamship is still in service. Skibladner has sailed on Lake Mjøsa since 1856, and in summer you can board it in Lillehammer and travel south along the lake. A trip on Skibladner is not just transportation – it is a journey back in time, with a steam engine, wooden hull, and a pace that forces you to slow down.
Mjøsa is also a good fishing lake, home to species such as whitefish, trout, and pike for those who want to try their luck. Lillehammer Tourist Association can provide maps and advice.
