Hub riding bike
On two wheels on the gravel roads of Øyerfjellet
Nermo is one of 13 selected hotels in the country that are part of the Hubriding concept. The idea is simple: you stay at the hotel, and choose from numerous mapped routes in the local area.
Some use a morning, while others fill up the whole day. The routes are adapted for bicycles, electric bicycles and motorcycles, and most of it takes place on gravel roads with little traffic and a lot of views.
Three routes for motorcycles
The gravel roads on the west side of Gudbrandsdalen are made for those who like to take their time. The Peer Gynt route takes you through some of the finest terrain in the valley. The Imsdals route crosses over to Østerdalen and back, and is for those who want a real day out. While the Svinslåa route is shorter and suitable as an evening walk after you have checked in.
All three routes are described in detail on hubriding.no, including maps, length and tips for stops along the way.

Five routes for bicycles and e-bikes
There's even more to choose from. The Hafjell route is the starting point for many, but the terrain varies and a couple of the climbs require a bit of legwork. Augseter–Hornsjø takes you through mountain and mountain pastures with natural resting places. The route around Mellsjøen takes you into Birken territory and past the famous Rosinbakken. Hunderfossen–Fåberg is well suited for families, with the Norwegian Road Museum and Hunderfossen along the way. And Akkjsøsetra is the long option, a day trip north of the Hafjell area for those who want to see as much as possible.
E-bikes make most routes accessible regardless of what shape you're in. We recommend starting some of the mountain hikes by car in order to reach a suitable starting point; this is described in the route description.
Back to Nermo
After a day in the saddle, it's good to come back to something concrete. A barbecue buffet on the west-facing terrace, something cold in your glass and plenty of time to plan tomorrow's outing. The mini golf course is open in the evening for those who are not quite ready to sit still.
