Restaurant Vidsyn – one of Hafjell's highest dining areas
A thousand metres above sea level, with the entire Gudbrandsdalen valley below you, lies Vidsyn, Nermo's restaurant at the top of Hafjell. Here, we serve the same delicious food as down at the hotel, made from the same ingredients, with the same philosophy. Only the view is different.
Same kitchen, different height
Vidsyn is not an ordinary ski restaurant. The chefs cook using fish and game from Øyerfjellet, berries and vegetables from the village, and the same ingredients that the Nermo kitchen has been using for generations. The moose burger has become a classic. The goulash soup really warms you up after a long day on the slopes. And the menu changes with the seasons, depending on what is available locally.
More than a lunch break
Vidsyn can accommodate 150 guests in the main restaurant, 50 in the lounge and 10 in a separate chambre séparée. This means that we can accommodate everything from a small birthday lunch to a wedding party with the mountains as a backdrop. We tailor menus for parties and events, whether it is a company trip, anniversary or something completely different.
Throughout the year, we also invite you to theme dinners and events. Our winemakers dinner with hand-picked wines and a customized menu is among the most popular.

How to find the restaurant
Restaurant Vidsyn is located just below Hafjelltoppen, south of Vidsynexpressen and by Hafjelløypa (trail 8). There is no parking at the restaurant.
On foot: From the car park at Gaiastova, it is approx. 1.2 km to walk ( a little further from Hundersetervegen).
Skiing: Ride up on the Vidsynexpressen or Hafjell 360, and follow the signs.
By car: Nermo can drive guests up to Vidsyn. Please contact reception.
Opening hours
Vidsyn is open during the winter season, from late November to mid-April.
We can open for events upon request.
