Food experiences at Nermo

Nermostuene is the hotel's main restaurant on the ground floor of the main building. Here, guests have sat at the table since the building was completed in 1933. The rooms have several rooms of different sizes, from the large dining room to smaller venues for parties and intimate dinners. The menu follows the seasons, but some dishes are fixed: the moose patties, homemade apple cake and crumble that have been rounding off meals here for over a hundred years.

Fresh waffles, freshly baked bread, local cheeses and homemade jams. Everything is made from scratch. Breakfast and coffee are included for guests at the hotel, the farmhand suites and the storehouse suites.

Vidsyn is Nermo's restaurant at the top of Hafjell, a thousand meters above sea level. Glass façade from floor to ceiling with a view of the entire Gudbrandsdalen valley. The chefs cook from the same ingredients as downstairs at the hotel. The moose burger has become a classic. Vidsyn can accommodate 150 guests in the main restaurant, 50 in the lounge and 10 in a separate chambre séparée. Open during the winter season.

The food at Nermo is made from scratch, with ingredients from our own farm and the local area. The moose comes from Gjæslia, where Johannes himself hunts. The pigs wander around behind the hotel, and the cured hams are strung up to age in the storehouse. The herbs are picked in our garden in the yard. The broth is cooked from bones and vegetables, the sauce takes the time it needs, and our bread is baked fresh every morning.
