Weddings at Nermo Hotell

At Nermo Hotel, your wedding ceremony can take place exactly where it feels right. Many people choose Låvebrua, with a view of both the farmyard and the valley. Others prefer Gudbrandsdalen's largest west-facing terrace, with sun from morning to evening and room for the whole group. The herb garden behind the low stone walls is for those who want things a little more sheltered, surrounded by herbs that give off a fragrant scent all summer long. And behind the hotel, the Pilgrim Path winds inwards, with quiet clearings among the birch trees for those who want to be even closer to nature.

In winter, the ceremony often moves indoors. Civil weddings can be officiated in our restaurant Nermostuene. With candlelight in the windows, snow in the yard outside, and warmth from the fireplace that sets the tone for the rest of the evening. If you prefer a church wedding, Øyer Church is just five minutes away by car. And we can arrange transport for the whole group.

The process starts with a conversation about what you like. Seasons, allergies, children's menus and other details that make the difference between a good and a very good dinner. The kitchen designs the menu with local ingredients that are in season. For example, moose from Øyerfjellet in the autumn or lamb from a neighbouring farm in the summer. And herbs from the garden all year round.

Restaurant Nermostuene seats up to 60 guests for dinner in the large dining room. If you want things more intimate, the wine cellar seats 12 around a long table. For larger parties, Låven, the barn, can be set for up to 100 guests. And for those who dream of dinner with the mountains at their feet, Vidsyn has room for as many as 150 at the top of Hafjell mountain.

After dinner, you can move the party to Storsalen at Låven. It is a whopping 550 square metres, with a dance floor, foyer and historical objects from the hotel's 150 years lining the walls. We provide sound and lights. You provide the music.

For those who need a breather, the fireplace lounge is always open. Throughout the evening, we can serve late night food for those who are still on their feet. And we can open the wine cellar under the hotel so you can enjoy a night cap in quiet surroundings.

Couples often spend their wedding night in one of our storehouse suites with a gas fireplace and a huge bathtub you can sink into. The bridal party can get ready in the farmhand cabins in the yard, with their own bathrooms and living room. The rest of the guests are distributed between the main building and the apartments close by.

The practicalities solve themselves when everyone is staying just a few steps apart. No one needs to plan a trip home in the middle of the night.
