Below the hotel, there is a room that few guests know about until they are invited down.

Here, thick brick walls ensure an even temperature all year round. The long table seats twelve, and the shelves are lined with bottles that the chef has carefully selected.Here, you will find everything from local brews to wines that have been selected to pair with the food we serve.

Dinner and wine tasting

We can set the table for a wine dinner in the basement, under Nermostuene, for up to 12 guests. Our chef composes a menu, selects the wines and is happy to share the story behind each bottle. It is intimate and personal, far removed from the usual hotel experience.

We also arrange wine tasting for small groups, either as part of a company event or for groups of friends who simple want to try something a little different.

Wine tasting for the curious

If you don’t want to book a full dinner but are curious about what the shelves have to offer, we are happy to create a tasting based on grape variety, country, vintage, or style – with or without something to eat alongside. You can also combine the wines with our own cured ham from free-range pigs and Tingvoll cheese.

You may also add an hour of storytelling with Johannes Nermo, fifth-generation owner of Nermo Hotel. It’s not mandatory – but those who try it are usually glad they did.

Prices:

  • 3-4 wines: from kr 595,- per person

  • 4-5 wines with storytelling: from kr 695,- per person

The tasting lasts 1 to 1.5 hours. Minimum 8 people.
